
Claranelle “Nell” Dillion, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015. She was born on August 4, 1940 in Indianapolis to William and Marie Ralph. Nell graduated from Shortridge High School in 1959. She was Mayor Richard Lugar’s receptionist, before moving on to the Indiana State Legislature. Nell also worked in the cosmetic and modeling industry, and was a stay at home mom.
She was involved with the Daughters of the American Revolution, Toastmasters, and Stephens Ministry at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Nell enjoyed travelling, bike riding, working out, reading, and spending time at the beach.
She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Tudor and Amy Thomas, both of Indianapolis; grandsons, Cody Thomas of Indianapolis, and Austin Thomas of California; sisters, Suzy Brett of Virginia, and Dixie Clark of Indianapolis; and her beloved cat, Condi.
A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m., with Dr. Kent Millard proceeding, on Sunday, October 4 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 100 W. 86th Street, Indianapolis. A reception will follow the service.
